【Mode Introduction】

Mlasting offers four main operating modes: 300, 200, SOS, and ECO. You can choose the appropriate mode based on your usage scenario.

Mlasting 300 is a persistent intelligent mode. The cloud system intelligently adjusts device operation parameters according to the environment, extending battery life as much as possible while maintaining daily response speed. The positioning interval ranges from 5 to 30 minutes. We recommend using the Mlasting 300 mode for daily use—it is also the default operating mode.

In some scenarios, a positioning interval of 5–30 minutes might be too slow. In such cases, you can switch to the Mlasting 200 agile mode, which shortens the positioning interval to 3–5 minutes. Even if you’re not constantly checking the app, the device will automatically position itself at this interval, resulting in higher power consumption. Under the same conditions, if the 300 mode lasts 90 days, the 200 mode may last only 30 days.

If the device is lost and needs to be located quickly, a 3–5 minute positioning interval may still be too long. Therefore, when urgently searching for the device, enable the Mlasting SOS emergency mode. In this mode, the positioning frequency increases to once per minute, and multi-redundant positioning is activated to improve accuracy. Due to high power consumption, the emergency mode is set to automatically turn off after one hour by default. You can manually re-enable it to extend the duration by another hour.

For users who prioritize maximum battery life and do not require fast location updates, enabling the Mlasting ECO power-saving mode is a good choice. In ECO mode, the positioning interval is 30–60 minutes, which extends battery life by an additional 30% compared to the 300 mode.

【Scenario Examples】

Logistics transportation: Use ECO mode during transit and switch to 300 or 200 mode near the destination. During long-distance transport, signal strength may be weak along highways or high-speed rail lines, and metal containers can further weaken signals, leading to high power consumption. Thus, avoid using the 200 mode during transport, as it results in excessive power usage.

Ordinary vehicles: Recommend using 300 or 200 mode. For vehicles that don’t travel long distances, the power consumption difference between 300 and 200 modes is minimal.

Fixed assets: Assets that rarely move are recommended to use 300 or 200 mode. When protecting fixed assets from loss, the power consumption differences across modes are negligible, and faster modes help detect changes in asset status earlier.

Senior citizen anti-wandering: Recommend using 300 mode for optimal balance. Switch to emergency mode only when actively searching.

Bird training: Use 300 mode at home; switch to 200 mode when training birds outdoors. If the bird goes missing, activate emergency mode. This approach ensures long battery life and fast response during emergencies.

Student backpacks: Recommend using 200 mode. Quick location tracking is available during school commutes, and the system automatically reduces power consumption while at school. This provides long battery life and fast response for pick-up and drop-off.
